Bob Turnbull

Woodworking Biography:
I have been working with wood in one form or another for most of my adult life but only recently became interested in wood turning through a desire to build some chairs in the Shaker style.  Subsequently, I purchased several books and video tapes in an effort to learn about turning.  This led to the purchase of a Oneway Lathe and a few basic tools.  Since then I have joined the Guild to become acquainted with people that pursue wood turning and take advantage of their willingness to share their knowledge.  Someday I hope to be able to pass along some of the tips and techniques I learn from Guild members.  Seeing some of the wonderful objects that have been made not only provides inspiration, but also an abundance of ideas for future projects.  What started out as a means to an end, has evolved into a love of turning.
